Planning a staycation this March Break? There's always plenty to do right in our backyard.
Be sure to check out the maple syrup festivals already underway in Mountsberg and Bronte Creek Provincial Park. There's nothing more Canadian than eating pancakes with warm maple syrup in the great outdoors! How lucky are we to have two Maple Festivals so close to home. Open every day during March Break - check out these links for more info.
Bronte Creek Provincial Park

Royal Botanical Gardens always has some extra fun activities for all the family. Creep on over and check out the Spiders Alive exhibit, running until April 14. There are plenty of interactive displays and a full list of daily activities to keep the kids busy and after seeing all the spiders and their friends. Make sure you visit the rest of the RBG
where spring has sprung! The kids will also love playing in their outdoor play area. If you are looking for a full week of fun they are also offering March Break camps. Check this link for more info - Royal Botanical Gardens
Visit Ireland House on Sunday, March 17 for thier History Explorers Club. The theme that day is Maple Production. This is a supervised drop-off program, but make sure you register in advance so you get a spot. Parents can also register for the March Break camp being offered daily.
Take inspiration from the historical collection at the Oakville Museum as we explore the world of decorative arts. Discover a variety of traditional techniques and build your artistic skills. March events are found here.
The Burlington Public Library and Oakville Public Library are holding a lot of different activities throughout the week at various branches. For a full calendar check the library websites. The links can be found here Oakville Public Library, Burlington Public Library.
The Art Gallery of Burlington is another great spot to bring the kids. They are offering a March Break camp where children can develop artistic skills to challenge them to think creatively.
